Thanet Food Link relies on the efforts of our wonderful volunteers and we welcome applications from all members of the community.
The main roles are
- Helping in the warehouse This involves checking and sorting donations, and packing parcels ready for transport to distribution centres. Parcels may be up to 13 kg in weight. Some lifting required.
- Helping in a distribution centre. This involves talking to customers, issuing of appropriate parcels on receipt of tokens, and referring those with more needs to those who can help.
We do require an application form (with two references), and we will give training with an experienced mentor. If there are no immediate vacancies we may ask you to go on a waiting list.
